Sales Estimator
Office Based - North Yorkshire
£DOE

Are you commercially savvy with a sharp eye for detail and a flair for winning tenders? Do you thrive in a role where precision, pricing, and sales experience come together?

We're working with a leading name in the UK's horticultural supply sector to find their next Sales Estimator - a key commercial team member responsible for securing large-scale contracts and delivering first-class service to landscape professionals nationwide.

What's the Job?

  • You'll manage the full tender and quotation process for both existing and prospective customers - analysing plans, specs, and BOQs to return accurate, competitive bids.

  • You'll liaise daily with both UK and international suppliers to source the best prices, ensuring profitability and competitiveness.

  • You'll prepare pipeline reports, sales forecasts, and pricing data to support the wider commercial team and hit monthly sales targets.

  • You'll also build strong relationships with landscape contractors, designers, architects, and key account holders - keeping customer satisfaction and business growth front of mind.

  • Alongside your estimating work, you'll also get involved in broader team activities, from marketing support (think newsletters and social content) to internal events and sales meetings.

What Do I Need?

  • Estimating, quoting, or tendering experience - ideally within landscaping, construction supplies, or horticulture.

  • Strong commercial awareness and an eye for pricing and margin.

  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal - you'll often be the first point of contact on a major quote.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and confidence with reporting tools or CRM systems.

  • A methodical, organised approach - and the ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines under pressure.

Why Join This Business?

  • Be part of one of the UK's most respected horticultural suppliers with a loyal customer base and strong supplier network.

  • Join a supportive, collaborative commercial team that values development and autonomy.

  • Enjoy a role that offers variety - from technical pricing and supplier negotiation to marketing and team support.
