Sales Ledger & Payroll Coordinator | Newcastle

We're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sales Ledger and Payroll Coordinator to join a fantastic meat business.

This role plays a crucial part in managing the financial transactions of the company, specifically related to sales ledger activities and payroll processing.

So what will your day involve?

Sales Ledger Management:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales transactions.
  • Generate and send invoices to customers in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile sales ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Follow up on outstanding payments and work with the Sales team to ensure prompt payment.

Payroll Processing:

  • Process payroll for employees, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
  • Verify and maintain employee records related to payroll, including tax information, benefits, and deductions.
  • Stay up to date with relevant tax and labor laws to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports to management.

Financial Reporting:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to provide data for analysis and forecasting.
  • Compile and organize financial data for auditing purposes.

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Maintain and update all relevant documentation related to sales ledger and payroll functions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
  • Assist in internal and external audits as needed.

Communication and Teamwork:

  • Collaborate with colleagues in the finance department and cross-functional teams.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and employees regarding sales and payroll matters.

What are we looking for in you?

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of financial processes, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to have a degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field. Proficiency in using accounting and payroll systems is a must as well as familiarity with relevant tax laws and regulations would be advantageous.
