Sales Manager | Agri-Tech | Home-based
We are working exclusively with an Agri-Tech business who have the backing and support of their large parent company, supplying into the vegetable and root crop sector. They have created a platform which will allow growers to have much more control over their crops and enable them to improve their yields through advice tailored around their specific production and varieties. They are working on a yearly subscription which is dependent on the size of farm, but is very straight forward and will deliver huge savings in time through improved management of the products. They have ambitious growth plans and this is a rare opportunity to join the business in the early stage.
You will be at the forefront of the businesses sales drive and will be targeted on approaching and selling to a number of key growers around the country.
You will be one of the main points of contact and will be supported by a number of individuals who have in depth product knowledge.
As time goes on, you will need to ensure you keep in semi-regular contact with the growers as retention is going to be essential to long term sustainable growth.
They are open minded on who they find. This could be someone who has a couple of years of sales experience and is looking for more autonomy and the chance to grow, or it could be someone with a lot more experience looking for a new challenge. Salary will be reflected accordingly.
This is a home-based role, but living in the East Midlands would be an advantage. Either way, this role will involve a lot of UK travel and as things develop, the opportunity to travel internationally will be there also.
Communication is paramount. They have a really strong product to sell and one which should earn the growers extra revenue as a result. If this message can be demonstrated clearly, then there is a big opportunity.
