Requirements:

  • Demonstrated expertise in multi-skilled engineering through either time-served experience and/or qualifications.
  • BTEC Level 3 qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering (or equivalent) is essential; HNC or HND in Engineering discipline is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of technical Health & Safety requirements.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within food manufacturing is desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on cost-effective solutions.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Confident decision-maker with a commercial mindset.
  • Track record of delivering performance improvements.
  • HACCP level 3 certification is desirable.

Reporting to: Engineering Supervisor/Engineering Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Support all site Engineering and Maintenance requirements to ensure efficient production.
  • Minimise downtime and support the effective operation of the PPM system.
  • Complete required documentation and service reports.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and environmental legislation.
  • Provide technical advice and innovative solutions for problem-solving.
  • Follow set standards and procedures governing engineering activities on site.
