We are proud to be working with CambridgeHOK to help them identify and recruit a Technical Sales Manager to open up a new office for them in the South of the UK. CambridgeHOK has a history that goes back over 50 years and they have been at the forefront of Horticultural engineering and construction. Over the years, they have established themselves as a true "turnkey" solutions provider to the Horticulture industry with expansive experience in glasshouse, energy, indoor and vertical farming. They have established a team of outstanding people and industry leading partner companies which enables them to take on any size project and offer the full solution from design through to construction.

CambridgeHOK has had a strong presence across the UK but are keen to further strengthen their position in the south of the UK with the opening of a new office and increasing the size of the team in this area as well. This is a great opportunity to make your mark in a part of the country which still offers huge untapped potential for significant growth.

The Job:
You will be responsible for identifying and approaching potential customers and ensuring they know about CambridgeHOK. This is a very relationship driven role and excelling in this will be key. As the business can help with full scale re-builds / new builds, internal re-fits or smaller one-off projects, they really have the ability to deal with anyone. It is really important that you get to understand the customer requirements in as much detail as possible, to allow for the effective design work to happen. Maintaining strong communication links during and after completion of any projects is crucial. With initial support and input from the broader team, you will also be negotiating prices and setting the terms and conditions for each project. The business differentiates itself based on its technical competence and it is essential that this role offers confidence to its customers.

The Candidate:
As mentioned above, this isn't an 'in-your-face' sales role. As such, we are looking for someone who knows their horticulture to a greater degree than just surface level. The likelihood is, that your background will have some elements of having grown crops in the past or been very involved in the operations of a glasshouse instead. Clearly, good commercial acumen is very important, but the overall relationship and technical sales approach is far more important. Experience in managing projects will definitely stand you in good stead as well.
