I'm currently working with a well-established, family-run business that's been producing high-quality fruit for the UK market since the 1960s. While their roots are in agriculture, they now need someone who knows their way around engines-not just tractors and harvesters, but cars, minibuses, and trucks too.
They're looking for a Vehicle Mechanic to join their growing team and help keep their expanding fleet in top condition. Whether it's a delivery van, a 4x4, or a truck that needs servicing, your expertise will be essential in keeping everything moving smoothly on and off the farm.
What They're Looking For:
A natural problem solver with a hands-on attitude
Someone confident working independently, but also a strong team player
Reliable communicator-because good teamwork starts with clear communication
You'll Need Experience In:
Mechanical work on a broad range of vehicles, including cars, minibuses, and trucks
Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs
Servicing and maintaining vehicles (MOT prep included)
Welding (a big plus!)
Driving farm machinery and forklifts (beneficial, but not essential)
A full UK driving licence is a must
What You'll Be Doing:
Inspecting and repairing a range of on-road vehicles, from cars to commercial vehicles
Attending breakdowns and carrying out emergency repairs
Scheduling and performing regular maintenance
Keeping accurate maintenance records
Managing parts and procurement cost-effectively
Supporting wider farm operations during peak times
Ensuring all work meets Health & Safety standards
What's in It for You?
Monday to Friday role
Overtime available
Great team environment
A chance to be part of a successful and supportive family-run business
