The Job

  • You'll support the Grower Manager in all aspects of day-to-day growing on a large-scale soft fruit site.
  • You'll gain hands-on experience in crop walking, irrigation, pest and disease monitoring, and biological control.
  • You'll use Priva systems to monitor climate, water use, EC, and pH, learning how to adjust for optimal plant health.
  • You'll assist with tunnel preparation and planting, including spacing, planting depth, and early-stage crop protection.
  • You'll help maintain accurate growing records, spray logs, and traceability paperwork for audit compliance.
  • Over time, you'll take on more responsibility in planning, quality assessment, and decision-making.

What You'll Need

  • A background or qualification in horticulture
  • Ideally some experience in soft fruit or protected cropping - or at least a genuine interest
  • A good understanding of plant biology, irrigation, pests, and disease
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong attention to detail.
