About our Client

Our client is a 7th generation family business that specialises in growing hardy ornamental nursery stock to industry professionals across the UK and Europe. They have been established for over 200 years and grow over 3 sites on over 330 acres. Crowders grow over 4 million plants a year to HTA standards and are also BALI members. They pride themselves in growing from UK seed where possible.

About the Role

Reporting to the Nursery Manager, you will be assisting in the Technical Production of high-quality stock across all sites. You will be managing the team around you to ensure everyone is compliant with health and safety, quality, and legalities. Training will form a part of your role, and you will be required to support the team in aspects of crop recognition, crop health and production outputs.

The Ideal Candidate

This role would be suitable for someone who is looking to take a step up in their career. You will have exposure to a commercial horticulture environment and ideally have worked with Hardy ornamental nursery stock. A qualification in horticulture is desirable, along with the ability to communicate with the team around you and the wider business.
