About Our Client

Our client is a unique vertical farming business that are specialising in growing a variety of herbs for several clients. Growing in state-of-the-art containers, they are working to produce UK grown herbs 365 days a year. All products are grown chemical and pesticide-free. With big expansion plans, they are looking to find someone to run the growing operation.

About The Role

This role will oversee 12 small vertical farming containers that are all growing different herbs. With a crop cycle between 30 and 50 days, you will always be busy. Herbs are grown from seed, so you will support in the propagation, crop walking, irrigation, and plant health through to harvest. Our client is continually looking to expand the operation, so you will be actively involved in trials.

The Ideal Candidate

This role is ideal for someone that has worked in a commercial horticulture environment before and has a keen interest in vertical farming. You will understand automated irrigation methods and be keen to continually develop yourself and the team around you. For the right person, there is huge opportunities to progress within the business as they look to expand their farming operation.
