As the Head of Procurement, you'll play a pivotal role in leading efforts to secure surplus fresh produce from our partners. About the role

As the Head of Procurement, you'll lead a team in sourcing surplus fresh produce, primarily fruit and vegetables, from our network of suppliers. Based in Evesham and embedded within Nationwide Produce, you'll collaborate closely with their sourcing and trading teams to identify opportunities and minimise costs. Your role will involve negotiating contracts, managing relationships, and developing strategies to maximise fresh produce supply.

What experience do I need?

You'll have a background in a commercial or sourcing role within the UK fresh produce industry and a strong track record of cost negotiations. Purchasing experience of ambient products would also be advantageous. A good understanding of fresh produce market dynamics, including factors influencing availability, waste, and costs will be essential to ensure you're able to effectively lead the strategy for accessing surplus food.
