HR Manager | Spalding

I'm currently working on a newly created role to join a fresh produce business as their HR Manager to support the company's senior management team as well as the wider business ensuring that all development, implementation and delivery of the company's HR strategy supports the business objectives.

With this being a brand-new role, now would be a fantastic and exciting time to join to make a real impact on the business.

What will your main responsibilities be?

  • Proactively advise the senior management team on HR policies and practices that support the business's aspirations, reinforce the values embraced by the business and achieve employment law compliance.
  • Managing the employee relations environment in a manner that supports a high level of employee engagement while addressing issues of unacceptable conduct or capability.
  • Manage the HR activities in conjunction with the driver compliance team.
  • Work closely with the CFO, CEO and colleagues to foster good employee relations and working practices.
  • Develop and deliver training plans to ensure colleagues are given the requisite tools to enable them to manage their teams successfully in terms of performance management, absence management and management/supervisor training commensurate with their roles.
  • Develop the Iris HR system within the business and rollout to all depots and colleagues.
  • Review all current HR policies and documentation and recommend any amendments to reflect the modern working environment.

Is this you?

You'll be CIPD qualified and have worked within the FMCG/Food manufacturing environment previously. Experience working across a multisite operation would be advantageous with a good understanding of payroll and time management systems.

Other traits we are looking for:
