About our client:
A leading Fresh Produce company committed to delivering high-quality products while upholding the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and regulatory compliance. Seeking a dedicated Hygiene Supervisor to join them in ensuring their manufacturing facilities meet and exceed hygiene, GMP, and Micro control standards.
Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the Hygiene Manager, the Hygiene Supervisor will play a pivotal role in coordinating the Hygiene team to execute hygiene procedures effectively and safely. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to upholding health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure strict adherence to health and safety procedures, including regulations governing the control and safe use of chemicals.
- Organize and supervise the hygiene team to ensure all cleaning tasks meet required standards and frequencies.
- Monitor hygiene standards across all factory areas and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain accurate hygiene documentation and conduct regular audits to drive continuous improvement.
- Supervise, lead, and develop hygiene team members, ensuring thorough training and development.
- Ensure availability and proper usage of personal protective equipment (PPE) by the hygiene team.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures at all times.
- Report any issues compromising food safety immediately to management.
- Manage illness reporting and return-to-work procedures for hygiene team members.
- Fulfill Hygiene Manager duties in their absence, including managing the Time Management System for payroll purposes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
Working Hours: Night shift from 21:00 to 07:00, on a 4 on 2 off rotation (Saturday through Friday).
