National Account Executive
Is your dream to be a National Account Manager in the food industry? Do you want to fast-track your career and be managing national accounts within the next 6-12 months? If so, I want to hear from you.

As a result of business growth, our client needs to develop this individual to see them managing their own national accounts in the retail sector ASAP. This could mean that you manage some of their smaller accounts, such as Iceland, whilst supporting their SNAM with larger national accounts.

Now, there will be a fair amount of admin to support the SNAM on larger accounts. There's no getting away from the amount of work required to complete tenders, deal with pricing, supply chain enquiries, orders, forecasts, artwork changes etc. However, the reward for cracking on with supporting the SNAM is that you will get exposure to all the retailers and how they each work differently, whilst developing your skills to go on and manage your own national accounts and develop your career.

This is a real promise for the right candidate to be a NAM within 6 months and maybe even sooner for the right person.

No more false promises of progression. You will get the development you deserve here.

You'd probably like to know what you'll need?

You'll need a real eye for detail, be proactive and able to work under pressure. Excel spreadsheet skills and being able to analyse sales data to offer commercial insight and suggestions to improve sales and margins for customers will be key. You'll need to be able to be highly accurate with data and pricing...if a mistake is made it could end up costing the business thousands of pounds given the volumes that they are dealing with. Once you've got to grips with the admin of the day-to-day dealing with the retailers, you'll need to build relationships with your own accounts to drive commercial results. You'll work with the retailers to grow their business and market share.

You'll work remotely but with travel to business sites and retailer head offices all over the country. So, you'll need to have the flexibility to travel.

The business has a great onboarding process with an extensive introduction to the products and ways of working in your first week on the job. This will mean overnight stays as and when required too.

If you think you have what it takes to manage national accounts, please get in touch with me, Tom, at 01780 480 530 or tom@morepeople.co.uk or submit your application below. Don't worry if you don't have an up-to-date CV, send what you have and we can take things from there.
