An opportunity for a Chartered Rural Surveyor to join a leading business based in Shropshire. Working with a highly regarded rural, commercial and residential property agency operating throughout Shropshire and the wider Midlands.
To be a successful candidate in this role you will be an MRICS Chartered Surveyor with ambition to progress and further your career. Responsibilities will involve delivering professional advice to a diverse portfolio of clients. Commitment and hard work will be rewarded, with essential attributes being an interest in the rural sector and a practical and positive attitude.
The Job:
Projects to be undertaken based from the Birmingham office and there is an expectation to travel throughout the Midlands and North Wales.
To provide rural valuation, land agency and management advice for retained clients.
Undertake Business Development
Related work and including loan security valuations
Fee Earner - maximise fee income
Develop client management
Assist in the delivery of agreed budgets and be responsible for managing own performance whilst exceeding in core technical skills.
To deliver agreed budgets and targets.
The Candidate:
Qualified to degree level that is accredited by the RICS and/or qualified as a Member of the RICS.
Registered Valuer status
Someone who is able to demonstrate at least 2 years post qualification experience in Rural Surveying.
Good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively.
Developing work from new and existing sector client contacts, in association with other team colleagues and offices regionally.
Ability to work in an organised and methodical fashion, with a high level of attention to detail.
Manage time effectively, prioritising tasks to ensure that deadlines are met as well as being adaptable to change.
The ability to produce clear and concise written reports and recommendations.
Willingness to be part of a team and to interact with other professional staff.
A good working knowledge of IT is essential, in particular a familiarity with and understanding of the Microsoft Office packages and preferably good keyboard skills.
