Work Environment:

  • Main Office or Home Office, and field-based.

Hours of Work:

  • 08:30 - 17:30 (excluding travel time), additional hours as required.

Days of Work:

  • Monday to Friday (some weekends during peak times).

Annual Pay:

  • £35k - £40k, Monthly Pay.

Market Expertise: You bring a deep understanding of the young plant and ornamental plants market, allowing you to navigate it effectively.

Technical Proficiency: Your proficiency in Excel, Word, and Email is not just a skill but a vital tool in your arsenal for success.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Maximize sales and profitability by serving existing and new customers.
  • Develop strong customer relationships and identify growth opportunities.
  • Provide ongoing offers, quotations, and updates to customers.
  • Maintain professional standards and represent with excellence.
  • Proactively target and attract new customers while collaborating with the Sales Director.
  • Efficiently plan and conduct customer visits, ensuring high standards of service.
  • Manage grower accounts, focusing on those with a minimum annual spend of £3k.
  • Report market insights, competitor activities, and performance to senior management.
  • Maintain accurate transaction records and support company branding initiatives.
  • Resolve service and quality issues using company quality assurance processes.

Field Sales Expectations:

  • Aim for a minimum of 5 meaningful grower visits per day.
  • Complete 3 days of field sales visits per week, adjusting as needed.
  • Minimize office administration days, prioritize customer-facing activities.
  • Maintain home office days on Mondays and Fridays for planning and follow-ups.
  • Limit customer nursery visits to no more than 2 company representatives.
