About the Role

As a Grower, you'll spearhead and manage the Nursery team, ensuring the smooth execution of operations to meet the demands of our dynamic site. Your role is pivotal in achieving continuous improvement in financial performance, safe and efficient cultivation of high-quality plants and shrubs, and a paramount focus on customer service excellence. Reporting to the Production Manager, your responsibilities encompass maintaining a balanced scorecard against KPIs, championing health and safety initiatives, managing and developing teams, fostering collaborative relationships across the site, planning for crop delivery, and maximizing profits.

Your proactive involvement in recruitment, effective raw material management, and driving the Continuous Improvement Strategy will be crucial. Upholding audit requirements and ensuring compliance with safety, health, and food safety principles will be integral to your role.

To thrive in this role, you'll bring operational experience in a Nursery environment, demonstrating profitability and production success. Your knowledge of horticulture and business acumen is complemented by a strong customer-centric approach.

With a proven track record in people management and development, you possess excellent communication skills, stakeholder management finesse, and a can-do attitude. Your assertiveness, quick decision-making skills, and understanding of cost models and budgetary control set you apart.
