Our client is an independent Garden Centre that puts the customers at the front of everything. Their plant range is second to none so as well as good customer service skills, your plant knowledge needs to be strong. This client is also quite proactive when it comes to progression, for the right person there is also room for progression once they settle in.

About the job

The Plant Area Manager will lead and inspire their team in achieving all retail deliverables, whilst ensuring an exceptional high standard of customer care which is expected for a Garden Centre. You will be helping with the financial, team development, ordering and buying and much more while in this role.

Ideal candidate

The ideal candidate needs to have experience within the horticulture industry as well as having excellent people skills with outstanding customer service. An eye for detail is also a positive as you will be making sure the displays are correct and visually appealing. Plant knowledge is also necessary in this role as you will be advising customers on plants and answering any questions the customers have. As well as plant knowledge, you need to have experience in ordering and buying products for the plant area.
