With over 40 years of success behind them, the business operates across two neighbouring sites covering around 17 acres - including glasshouses, tunnels, and outdoor growing areas.

The Role

As Plants Returns Assistant, you'll be a key part of the team, working alongside one other team member and reporting to the Head of Plants.

Your role will focus on plants coming into the business and your responsibilities will include:

  • Handling all plant stock returned to site.
  • Assessing plant quality - checking for pests, disease, and damage
  • Carrying out watering, repotting and general plant maintenance
  • Logging and reporting any dead, damaged or unusable plants.
  • Maintaining accurate records and paperwork
  • Working across glasshouses, tunnels, and outdoor areas

What You'll Need

  • Strong horticultural knowledge - you could have a background in commercial growing, landscaping, or gardening.
  • Confident with plant health, pest/disease identification and plant maintenance
  • Good attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weathers
  • PA1 and PA6 ideal (or training can be provided)
  • FLT licence preferred (training provided if needed)
